Mrs. Mary Koykar
Ms. Koykar comes to St. Pius with love for God, faith, family and education. She received her Elementary Education degree and started her Masters in Math Education at National-Louis University. Being the seventh child of eighth to graduate from St. Pius, her parents sacrificed to make sure each child had strong roots in their faith. In her graduation class, her husband, Matt and the priest, Fr. Bill O'Toole, that witnessed their marriage, were also her classmates. Her son has also been nutured and educated each year at St. Pius since three year old preschool. Mrs. Koykar feels God has truly blessed her with 18 years of experience as a Catholic junior high teacher. Although it was difficult to follow God's will as it sometimes is, she transferred to her alma mater from the wonderful experiences she had at St. Walter School in Roselle. Along with her goal of continuing to prepare successful students for high school, her mission is to focus on continuing to prepare her students to love, know and serve God and their faith so they can change and evangelize the world. Mrs. Koykar will now also lead our Youth Ministry Program for the parish.
